WeWork is launching a new event series to give people and big ideas a voice. Town Halls @ We will use WeWork spaces as a platform to convene city and industry leaders to host conversations on issues that matter locally.Â
Â
Join WeWork, Metro Atlanta transportation stakeholders and community development leaders for our first-ever Town Hall @ We focusing on the future of transportation in Metro Atlanta. Refreshments and light bites will be provided.
The We Company has always been about more than just space to work. We’re building a global, physical platform designed to bring people together and build community. Our mission is to help people build purpose-filled lives and careers with meaningful connections along the way, and we believe that begins with an open and engaged citizenry -which is why we're launching Town Halls @ We.
69 percent of WeWork members worldwide use sustainable forms of public transit such as walking, cycling, or public transit, compared to a 19-percent U.S. average in big cities. In fact, when we are considering new locations, walkable access to public transit for our members is a must. With nearly 5,000 WeWork members in Metro Atlanta commuting to and from work each day and growing, an open dialogue on the future of mobility is an important one for our community at large.
On Thursday, June 6th, metro Atlanta transportation stakeholders and leaders in community development will gather together at WeWork Coda to discuss what's moving Atlanta forward. The Atlanta Regional Commission estimates that metro Atlanta could add more than 2.5 million people by 2040, but how will our infrastructure support this growth?
Â
Through an engaging panel discussion and a transparent dialogue with the audience, we will dig into the strategic road ahead for transportation and Metro Atlanta's infrastructure by discussing topics such as current issues holding our city back and the solutions we're implementing to accommodate our growing population.
We encourage you to utilize public transit such as MARTA or ride sharing apps, however, there is parking available in the CODA internal garage, with the entrance located off of 4th street (you'll make a left turn off of West Peachtree Street onto 4th Street, then turn right into the garage). Please be aware that parking is $8.00 per hour. Once you park, you will take the elevator to the lobby level.
